 An artist more driven by his inner visions than by fashions and trends. Yet, his work possesses an innate sophistication that places it prominently within the post-modern mainstream. 

 His art includes unique people, places and things that exist somewhere between adult dreams and childhood memories. “I don’t think of myself as a fantasy artist,” said Christensen…”What’s truly important to me is that my art is introspective and in turn challenges the mind’s eye of those who view it regardless of the subject matter.” 

Phillips grew up loving art but never thought he could make it his livelihood. At college he majored in criminology and had been accepted into law school when four of his paintings were sold at an airport restaurant. That was all the incentive he needed to begin his work as a fine art painter. 

The rich colors, use of light and meticulous detailing in each artwork offer viewers a great deal of insight into the world of Sam Timm. 

Rosemary Millette has been painting since she was a young girl. Living in South Dakota, she finds subjects for her wildlife scenes in the nearby outdoors surrounding her home.

Mark E. Van Epps’ images were studies of both natural and man-made elements. An ecologist at heart, his works were a reflection of his love for nature and the environment. 

Ron Van Gilder lives and paints in Minnesota and has spent his life honing his wildlife painting skills. He is trained as a photographer and graphic designer, but taught himself to paint.

A delight to both the eye and the heart, a Landry painting is an invitation to the peace and beauty of nostalgic memories. 

Mark won the 1986 Maryland Trout Stamp contest and decided to concentrate on art professionally. Since then, he has specialized in painting underwater depictions of freshwater and saltwater gamefish and in scenes of fly fishermen pursuing their obsession.

Lee Stroncek’s art is noted for his subtle and sensitive use of light, color and atmosphere. He says, “A good painting can come out of any subject, past or present…”

Jim set out on his course to pursue art, prints and posters. He moved to the southern California area where he slowly began to build his reputation as a freelance illustrator, while taking courses at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles on the side.

Jim Hautman was born and raised in Minnesota, where he experienced the outdoor world and encountered wildlife in its natural habitat. Though he studies local Minnesota wildlife for his art, he also travels to other states, such as Montana and Texas, to gather referent material for his artwork.

For Persis Clayton Weirs, becoming a wildlife artist seemed only natural.

Born on an island off the Maine coast and residing on the New England coast her entire life, Weirs has always been surrounded by beautiful scenery and bountiful wildlife.

Storytelling through pictures has always held a certain fascination for Scott Gustafson; be they the moving images in animated cartoons, or the epic illustrations of N. C. Wyeth. Upon entering the Chicago Academy of Fine Art, Scott was 99% sure that he wanted to become an animator, but it was that 1% that ultimately drew him more and more into the world of stretched canvas and oil paint.
